Infinity Scarf

Please don't ask me why i did this in the middle of summer. But at least you will be fall/winter ready!! You can make this scarf for free!! Seriously i love free stuff, so bust out your old Walmart shirts that you don't like after they were washed twice...or just don't like in general =]. All you will need for this project is a shirt and some shears! If you absolutely love every single shirt in your closet then find your closest DI or Goodwill and buy some 1 Dollar shirts!!

Both of these shirts are from Wally world and since the striped one is 3/4 sleeves and it is hot...well you get the idea.

You are going to want to cut 1 inch strips across the belly of your shirt. I got 14 out of mine. You are also going to need strips(for tying) for every one of your long strips...confusing i know but you will see below.

This is what your 1 inch strip across the belly will look like.

Make a figure 8...

and fold over. Do this twice.

2nd figure 8

Now you have rings that are folded to have 4 rings =]

This is where you will tie your rings together. Remember the extra strips i mentioned above? I used the sleeves of my shirt since they were smaller in size. DOUBLE KNOT THEM!! Don't tie them like i did in this picture...deceiving i know =] Tie all of your rings together so that it is an infinite ring of rings!!

And now you have yourself a cute scarf...hippie chic style!
Until next time =]

Fisher Kids Photoshoot

I took some adorable pictures of some adorable little people the other day. Other than trying really hard for both of them to smile at once, it went pretty smoothly. This was a fun photo shoot that consisted of weeds, stealing a chair, and popsicles! Go ahead and take a gander =]

These are just a few of my favorites. My friend had asked me after i did these if i was going to start doing it regularly. I think i may try it out for a little while seeing as this "awesome economy" isn't letting up. I will be building my portfolio so stay tuned for more cute photo shoots! Until next time! =]

Dillan is 1!!

I year ago to today i was in labor at Redlands Community Hospital. This pregnancy was a tiny bit tougher than my first with early braxton hicks that i had to get meds for and i was diagnosed with group b strep. But at 3:15 pm June 5th Dillan finally blessed us with his presence. He was over 1 lb smaller than my first(thank goodness!) and the meant no episiotomy (YAY!). His first year of life has flown by so quickly i wish it didn't. I remember every milestone that he hit like it was yesterday.
Dillan you have been such a joy in our family so far i cant wait to see what you bring next! You are the most funniest kid i have met and i just love you to pieces! Happy Birthday my Dilly Bean =]
From this tiny little newborn...

To this adorable little boy =]

Lame

So apparently i was on to something but not anymore. It has been invented...or something like it i should say. So with that said i will just invent it for myself seeing as i still need one. There will be more on this "item" as soon as i know what i am doing. Confusing i know but there will be some clarity on all of this hopefully sometime soon, but for now here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure =]
Dillan taking steps for mama. Its about darn time!!

My almost 3 year old at the park *tear*
I love happy, angry faces.

Dilly boy and his awesome hair...which will be a part of his Halloween costume as long as daddy doesn't take a pair of shears to his head!

Crystina and cute little Easton

And this cute picture which i think is frame worthy =] One child absolutely distraught(i think because Aiden had her toy) and 2 others with a deer in the head lights look. Not to mention my extra protected, non drown-able son.

Until next time =]

Lazy Days

My garsh i have been so lazy with this darn blog. Well i suppose i can update you on the happenings of our little family. First off my little baby boy is going to be 1 in 12 days!!! Holy cow! Aiden will be 3 in 36 days and that is just even crazier. My babies are growing up too fast!
Dillan has been taking a few steps here and there. He still prefers crawling. He says dada and when i try to get him to say mama he says dada. What a little stinker!
Aiden has been doing awesome, it amazes me at how much this kid can learn in so little time! He is fully potty trained and has been for about 2 months now. He has been to Disney with just chonies and no pull ups and he also went to an Angels game recently and no accidents!! WOO HOO!! I am so proud of my little man. Also a big woo hoo for having only 1 kid in diapers!! He also likes to run around our house singing jingle bells...of all songs i don't know why he chose a Christmas one that can get stuck in your head so easily.
We had a little mishap at one of our favorite places on earth. Yup you guessed it Disneyland! Our double stroller was stolen. Insert sad face here. I felt so horrible because 1) i had gotten it as a baby shower gift and a couple of my family members pitched in for it because it was a tad expensive, and 2) i just plain loved it. I never had anything stolen from me before so this was a first and i must say i hope i never feel that way again! It was a huge mix of emotions that i usually never have, lets just say that. My father in law came up with an awesome idea of theft proofing our stroller and i am in the works of inventing something(more on that tomorrow). So we of course had to dish out at least 200 bucks for a new one and our new one isn't half bad. It doesn't compare to the first but hey we got the best deal for our buck i think. I am happy with it, the only thing is i cant go running with it(pshh like i went running anyway) but when i did, which was like once a month, it was nice. I guess i will just have to leave my poor old husband with both of the kids while i go for a run.=]
I have been keeping myself busy lately by making little girl bows. On Easter we went over to my grandma's house. A tradition that i love ,which is the egg decorating contest, takes place there every year and the eggs come out looking like gogo dancers or circus folk. My grandma used to have her own craft store oh so long ago. So where does she keep all of her old craft supplies? In a room that is seriously walled with different sizes of labeled Tupperware bins. It is one of the most magical places i have ever seen!! Anything you would ever need to make something is in that room. So my grandma wanted to get rid of some of her stuff and asked me if i had wanted anything from in that room...HEYOO!! I told her that i would gladly take the gorgeous old ribbon she had off her hands...oh and maybe a box or 2 of buttons. So i have been making some of the most retro bows i have ever seen. Her ribbon is seriously from the 70's-80's eras and i absolutely LOVE it. I have a massive amount of buttons that i probably wont be able to use in this lifetime but a bow needs options! So if you want to take a gander at these beautiful lovelies i have my Facebook page linked in the right hand column at the top. =]

I plan to post pictures some time this week of the kiddos so keep an eye out.

Until next time!

CTR 4 Leader Right Here!

Yup i have finally gotten a calling that doesn't have to do with an 18 month old playing with toys! Not that i didn't like the nursery; i loved it! But this calling i actually get to learn with the kids! I will give you a little background about me first. I was baptized October 27Th 2007 and got married 2 days after. About 6 months after this i was about 5 months pregnant when they gave me and Cody a calling for the nursery. Seeing as Cody had absolutely ZERO experience with babies, we took it as an opportunity to gain knowledge of what we were both getting ourselves into. We had this calling until after Aiden was born and he was about a year old. Then it seemed like we were right back in there as soon as he turned 18 months. But the time in between was about 6 months and we were going to the gospel principles class. I had learned a lot in that class seeing as i didn't really learn anything in the nursery along with being a new convert. After Aiden has gradually become less of a clinger i was able to learn a bunch more.
Now me and my husband are both teachers for the CTR 4 class in our ward. Today was my very first day teaching and i have to admit i absolutely loved it. During high school i had always wanted to be a teacher. So this is a little taste of what i had always wanted to be. I have ofcourse changed my mind of who/what i wanted to be obviously, but i must say it is quite a blessing to be teaching these cute little 4 year olds in my class. It is a huge honor to be the ones that teach them what they need to learn about our church and what they should be doing to get back with heavenly father. Our lesson today was the Word of Wisdom. When i had first read what the lesson was i was at a loss for words thinking, "how the heck am i supposed to teach this subject to a bunch of 4 year olds?" But it was so awesome how the lesson turned out and i am so proud of the class. Even though many of them were hungry(church ended at 5 today) they stuck through it and i am so happy to have an amazing calling with an amazing class. I cant wait to teach more!
