My Uncle's Suprise Birthday Party

So Aiden is finally 1 year old! It feels like it took no time at all! This past weekend was fun and very eventful! My uncle had a surprise birthday party on Saturday and here are a few pictures from that!

Aiden's First Haircut/ Father's Day Present

So Aiden got his very first haircut the other day. He now looks like a little boy...he's not my baby anymore! He is getting so big i cant believe it! Here are some pics and a video. He wasnt freaked out while Cody was buzzing his hair...he actually liked it! We used a size 8, which to me it still looks really short. His hair looks like daddy's now.

This year i thought since it was Cody's first real father's day then i should get him something nice and huge! I didnt take the huge part literally until i saw what i wanted for him. I came home and asked him if he wanted his fathers day present early or on fathers day because this thing was pretty big! He ofcourse said early and that spared me the agony of trying to find a place to put this so he couldnt find it. Here is the present.

An Update on the Garlic Plant

So my garlic plant did die but it died too early!! It was at the beginning of this month when i dug it up and found these little treasures!

It was not my fault my little plant died early. The gardeners thought it was a weed and buzz cut it TWICE!!! So i dug up miniature little garlics. They are so cute! I gave them to my mom so she can plant them in her new herb garden she has.

My 20th Birthday

So Cody suprised me this year and rented a hotel room right across the street from the Disneyland main entrance! We got there on monday and it was about 4 and we had to bring Aiden with us for the day and his dad took him home with him. We were mainly there to see Fantasmic and The Electrical Parade(Aiden's favorite song is the electrical parade by the way). The place was packed! It was a ridiculous amount of people but i still had fun! We went on pirates and a few bugs land rides at cal adventure. As soon as the song started for the parade Aiden got super excited and was looking around everywhere! It was a really cute parade. We had a front row spot and Aiden got tickled by the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland and Grumpy from Snow White stood infront of Aiden and glared at him.

The Electrical Parade

He loved the parade and after that we went back over to Disneyland to watch Fantasmic. It was so crowded that we didnt even get a good spot for Fantasmic. We were behind this huge tree and had to look around it and like i said there was a ridiculous amount of people there. To top it all off the brand new dragon that they had just got was broken down. So there was no cool dragon at the end but it was ok. Then the next day we had breakfast and waited in line to get my brithday pin and giftcard. If you are an annual pass holder you can choose from 3 things. You can get a 69$ gift card, a fast pass for youre group and choose 6 rides that it will work on, or a return ticket for when your pass expires. I chose the giftcard and got Aiden some toys and the pirates trilogy on bluray=]. Travis and Johnny met up with us there and we went on a couple rides and all in all it was a very fun day minus the people and long 80 minute lines.

Harold had to go to work the day he had Aiden and so he spent the day with one of my mom's co-workers. She also has an AJ the same age and here is a pic of them playing.

Now while all of us were gone Chloe was home. Yes home alone! I deleted the picture on accident but somehow she always manages to get herself locked in our bathroom. And she did tear it up a little bit:the shower curtain was on the floor along with our towels and a couple of things were off the sink but it was better than tearing up carpet or anything!

Aiden's First Trip to the ER

Yesterday was Aiden's "lets see how many time i can hit my head" day! I swear he must have hit himself 20 times! But the biggest one happened at the end of the day. I had gone over the Crystina's to visit and while we were talking Aiden is next to her rocking chair and he falls and hits his head. I think nothing of it because all day he had been bumping it here and there. Well as soon as i look where he hit it there was a huge knot! It had swelled almost instantly when he hit it. Crystina gave me a bag of frozen veggies and he doesn't let me put them on it and starts screaming louder. I had called Cody to call his doctor and see if we can bring him in. Well as soon as i get home Cody tells me that the doctor is gone for the day and they said if we were really freaked out about it then we should take him to the er. I showed Cody Aiden's head and he said yup lets go! We get there and Aiden is passed out and I'm worried because i know that if you have a concussion you cant fall asleep but then i don't know if Aiden has a concussion. The doctor took a look at him and gave us options. By this time the swelling had gone down. She said we could get a CT scan to make sure he has no internal bleeding in his brain, but that came with a rick of getting a brain tumor from the radiation...so that one we ruled no! We could also get a regular xray to make sure that he didn't fracture his skull. Or we could just watch him closely for 24 hours and make sure he doesn't throw up and we would have to wake him up every 4 hours to make sure he was responsive. So we decided that we would watch him and i would set my alarm for every 4 hours.

Today he has been doing good. minus the huge bruise on the side of his forehead. He is walking fine and making his usual noises. The swelling has gone down alot and now there is only a small lump on his head. I was thinking this morning about making a helmet that babies can wear as soon as they start walking. Just to protect their precious brain because Aiden seems to hit his head alot no matter what he is doing!
