No longer waiting!

Here i was thinking how cool we are documenting this little bird outside and wouldn't be awesome if when i had my baby she would have hers too!? Well not anymore! Mama birds eggs have hatched except for one(still cooking i guess). Yesterday she kept poking her head in the nest and wasn't sitting like she usually did so when we let Chloe out to potty we took a picture to see if anything was happening. She always flies away as soon as our back door opens. And sure enough there was a little pink bird in there! That is what the first picture is. Its kind of blurry because we used Cody's camera on his phone. So today before we had dinner i had Cody go out to take another picture to see of there were any others and there sure was! I am so envious of this little bird because she is no longer waiting for her babies. Here i am waiting for 1 and in one day she has got 3! Anyways that is the update for now! All but 1!

37 weeks

So i have been lazy and i don't feel like taking a picture but there will be one soon i promise! The doc said everything is good i am now up to 2 cm dialated & 50% effaced and thinking i am probably going to get myself induced again(i asked to be induced with aiden at 39 weeks). I only get a few braxton hicks a day and have had 3 really big painful ones. With that said i don't think i am going to deliver this one early like i have been feeling, but you never know! I do have my bag packed and ready to go! This is the only part of being pregnant that i really don't like...waiting. Next appointment is next Wednesday and if we make it till then i will most likely schedule an induction!

In other Sorenson news Aiden likes lifting up my shirt and yelling "Diddan" at my belly =]. He now knows his "baby broders" name. The bird nest is still there with the eggs. Ill post on that later.

My father in law bought all of the b of m kids movies(yes the old ones). He also bought the bible stories too! We have been using these for our family home evenings and i must say i really like it! They are only a half hour long which gives us time for dinner , family walk, then the movie, bath and bed! I haven't yet read through the whole b of m but now that we are watching these movies i think i am going to challenge myself to do so =].

36 weeks

Went in for my 36 week appointment and i have started the dialation process!! I am 1 cm and super excited! I cant remember when i started to dialate with Aiden but at 38 weeks i was 3 cm. I am hoping this baby does come a tiny bit earlier since there are 4 members of my family(including me) with June birthdays. A May baby would be nice! =] No picture for today though since i took one like 5 days ago and posted my check up late. I am now going weekly finally and will update you next week =]

We also have some little visitors in our backyard. Some birds have decided to build their nest right outside our back door! I have been watching them build it and about 5 days ago mama bird started to sit in her nest. The other day when we let Chloe out to do her business, i had cody scope out the nest and we couldnt quite see it thanks to our shortness. So he got the video camera and took a video =] (dont worry mama came back to her nest)

We would like to document this cute little bird family but i dont know how close mama will let us get after her babies hatch. My mom looked up what type of bird and how long it would take for the babies to hatch and the conclusion was 14 days. Cody also said that there is a possibility of when the little birds begin to fly one might fall right onto our patio. We will also update you on this little family as well =]

Updates Updates Updates

I have been lazy lately so here are alot of updates! This picture was taken today i didn't take a pic at 34 weeks so you get me at 35 =]. I seriously feel like i am about to pop! My feet have been swelling up so the only shoes i can wear are sandals, my braxton hicks seemed to have calmed down quite a bit and i have gained 3 more pounds woo hoo! Doc says everything is going good. I see him next week and i think he may or may not check me i don't know for sure but i will let you all know =]

This last Saturday we went to the Helping Hands shindig. We went to Smiley park and i must say a little paint and gardening makes a huge difference! There were alot of people at different locations at ours we had over 100! I didn't really do anything but it was still fun to be there!


The Park

For mothers day Cody made me a nice breakfast and he got me a Kitchenaid mixer(which i have wanted for the longest time!!) I have already made cookies and cupcakes with it =] We also went and visited Cody's grandma who is living with his aunt down in San Diego. The have this gnome thing at the front door that Aiden is always worried about as you can see on his face =].

On Friday we went to go see a friend's "show before he goes." He is in the army and was going to be leaving and we wanted to see him off=] It was very nice music and Aiden's girlyfriend was there too! Him and Hailey played in the alley pretty much the whole time which was good since it was really hot where the band was(a very tiny room).

We tried to get a cute kissy picture but Aiden wasn't going to let that happen.

For the past week we have been having random power outages and it is the whole block!(including the stake center!) This was the first long one we had i was about to start making dinner and everything turns off. So we decide to go out to eat at Denny's(kids eat free certain days =]) Aiden enjoyed having a pizza all to himself and some fries.

We also stopped at Big Lots since the power was still out, Aiden rode the carousel out front. He loves these things! We got a nice lantern here since we have absolutely no flashlights in our house. It was very eerie going home. Starting from Moore Middle school all of the street lights and house lights were out. It was seriously like something out of a scary movie! We were waiting for a zombie or something to jump out of the orange groves and attack us lol. It was nice to see all the stars though =]. The power came on shortly after we got home, then went off when i was in the shower(go figure) then it came back on about 10 minutes later.

Today however was a different story. The power had gone out at midnight and didn't come back on until 11 this morning! We think it may be because of the cable people digging up the street on 5Th. But we don't know for sure so we will most likely be experiencing more in the future. Until next time =]

My New Life

New Things!

We have added a few new things to our household recently =]

The dreaded doorknob covers...i love these =]
Aiden's new potty seat!

We are in the process of training our little boy how to pee in the potty! Which means NO more diapers (at least for a month and a half) and he is in pull ups. He is actually doing pretty well except for today he had a huge meltdown because daddy went to work and he wanted daddy to watch him pee =] little stinker. I love this potty seat because i can bring it with me places;as long as i have a big enough bag to put it in. I took it to church last week and he went potty twice before nursery! Then i just left him in there since every time someone leaves or if he sees me he will cry.
Another new thing which i think is so cute when i hear it is Aiden humming. I have no idea what song it is but he hums while he is playing or roaming the hallways now!
And the last new thing...for now...we are trying to get Aiden to stay in his room at night (see first picture). Since our child was able to open actual door knobs at the age of 17 months we got those lovely covers =]. I must say i really do love these things. It was a major success last night! He woke up at 10:30ish and i put him back to sleep and he slept in there until 7 this morning when he woke up! *Cue the hallelujah music* I was actually able to sleep the majority of the night without being interrupted. And i wasn't tired this morning i felt very well rested.]Cody of course was saying "why didn't we get these sooner?!?" Well hunny you told me not to buy them =]. Anyways those are the few new things that have been going on in the Sorenson home!
